9/10 YR OLD ALL-STAR PARAMUS TEAM SELECTION PROCESS

Prior to the All-Star selection, all players’ parents (or guardian) will need to sign an “All-Star Commitment Form”. This form describes the time commitment (June 15 – July 25)   necessary for All-Star participation as well as advising of the League Rule that the missing of THREE PRACTICES (scrimmages are considered a PRACTICE) OR TWO OFFICIAL GAMES will result in the player being removed from the All-Star team. . NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE GIVEN.  Failure to meet these attendance requirements will impact a player’s eligible opportunity to participate on future the Post Season teams.

To solicit votes from players, managers and coaches, the president, player agent and league coordinator will meet with each team the last weekend of the season.  Only those players, managers and coaches present will be allowed to vote. The ballot will include a list of all players eligible for All-Star play at this particular level.  Each person casting a ballot will be allowed to vote for (12) 10 yr old players.  Players, managers and coaches may not vote for more then four players from any one team.  The League’s President, along with the other (12) executive board members will tabulate the votes.

The Paramus All-Star team will consist of no fewer or more than (12) players.

Players from the 10 yr old District ballot not being selected for the District team  automatically become eligible to play on the 9/10 Paramus All-Star team.

The number of players needed for the 9/10 yr old Paramus All-Star team will be determined by the amount of 10 yr old District players not selected to that District team that are looking to play on the 9/10 yr old Paramus team.

Once the ballots for the 9/10 yr old Paramus All Star team have been tabulated, the (10) players with the most votes (including ties) will be included on the team.  Number of players may be reduced, Note: See Paragraph above

The remainder of the team will be selected as follows:

          ·   Prior to the balloting, the All-Star Team Manager will submit a sealed list of (14) players that (he/she) would like to see on (his/her) All-Star team, to the League’s President.

          ·   Players on the Manager’s list that are not on the original (10 player) list compiled from the balloting will be added to the All-Star roster in the order they appear on the Manager’s list until a roster of (12) players is completed.

Only those players who have made the Paramus All-Star team will be notified within 48 hours of the tabulation of the votes.  Team will be posted on the website.
