Temporary Player Rules
These rules were established to avoid forfeits:
- Minor A and B managers pick 2 players from their teams to become temporary players for Minor A and Major League games.
Please coordinate with the parents and explain the circumstances listed below.
- Minor A Player Call-up to play in Majors - All 10 yr olds must be used before any 9 yr olds are considered.
- Minor B Player Call-up to play in Minor A - All 8 yr olds must be used before any 7 yr olds are considered.
- The Player must be placed 9th in batting order.
- The Player must play an outfield position, right field.
- A player can be called 24 hours prior to a game, if a team knows it will not have 9 players.
- A player can be called 24 hours prior to a game, if a manager is not sure of nine players being at a game.
- If 9 regular team players show for a game, the temporary player will not be used.
- If a 9th regular team player comes late to a game, you must replace the temporary player at the end of the inning.
- A rotational system shall be used in order to provide an equal opportunity for all players on the temporary players list.
- A temporary player whose original team is playing at the same time as the game that needs a temporary player shall play
with his or her original team first. If no other temporary players are available, then that player may fill in for the team
that needs a temporary player.
- The temporary player shall be used for that game only and shall return to the bottom of the list of temporary players in the
selection process.
- No temporary players shall be used from T-ball for Minor B games.
